Will any of my college courses count toward the endorsement? Can you review my transcript to make that determination?
College coursework may be applicable toward the endorsement. The District does not have the authorization to review transcripts to determine if college coursework meets any of the state’s requirements. You can apply to FLDOE for an official review of the transcript, for which there is a fee. Should your coursework meet the state requirements, a Statement of Status of Eligibility is generated that officially outlines the remaining district add-on courses required. The statement is valid for 3 years. Provide the Literacy Department a copy of the Statement for our records. DOE information can be found at: http://www.fldoe.org/teaching/certification/staff-contact
